Some about
for our international friends
In 1991 trio
started out as a regular classical piano trio, performing Beethoven,
Haydn, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, a little bit of Brahms and Dvorak, mostly
in a private context. Besides the usual compliments we were asked to play
"some more" ... and this specific smell of the "summo"
indicated that less serious catagories were requested. So we started to
prepare some of the "good old days" when people used to be entertained
by natural smooth melodies and dances in the Vienna Cafehaus and in the
European Salon. Then, for the first wedding party we were engaged in 1991,
and after that we decided to keep and to extend this kind of playing,
which we called "trio fatal" in opposite to our classical ambitions.
Manfred H. started singing while playing the cello which gave the trio a special
taste, more diversity and made it distinct from comparative ensembles.
Arrangements of more modern titles were drafted and elaborated.
The music of
deals in four categories, which we call:
Popular
classical tunes and favorite miniatures like Brahms' Hungarian
Dances, the famous Ave Maria, Toselli's Serenade, a waltz of Chopin, Beethoven's
"For Elise" and more,
Standardized
dance categories in the style of Ballroom Dancing like Foxtrot,
Slow and Vienna Waltz and more,
Traditional
jazz including a pristine selection of standards and realized
in a mainstream manner with solos of our three instruments, whose characteristics
make this catagorie sound very different from the usual jazz experience,
South
American favorites with miscellaneous popular dances, rhythms
and tunes from Brazil, Argentine, Mexico, Cuba and more.
mostly performs on private birthday and wedding parties. Our challenge
is to create a definite comfortable and cozy environment for our listeners
and guests, which always inspiere conversations and mental exchange. Therefore
we do not use noisy amplifiers and computers. We like to surprise by switching
between all our categories and by interesting achievement and arrangements.
The series of
CD records of trio fatal started with an overview (fatal 5:
trio fatal im Concert- und Tanzcafe 1993),
then contributed
to the field of jazz (fatal 1: trio fatal Invading
New Orleans 1995,
the title of which refers to the Battle of New Orleans 1812).
The CD "fatal
2: trio fatal in den 20er und 30er
Jahren, 1997"
is dedicated to the 1920s and 1930s in Germany and also includes two titles
by string quartet.
In 1999 we completed
our CD on Vienna (fatal 3: trio fatal in
Wiener Gefilden 2000),
while fatal 4
is headlined trio fatal en Sudamerica (2003)
and thus is dedicated to an amazing variety of music idioms.
travels to New Orleans almost annually, first in 1995
residing and performing at the MONTELEONE HOTEL at Rue Royale. Manfred
Herbig is honorary citizen of the Crescent City since April 2000. We always
take a limited number of friends with us to share the distinct experience
in THE BIG E-Z. Supposingly, we might meet there one day or somewhere
else under the rainbow. But we ship our CDs right away to your home. Feel

The musicians
of
do not only deal in this field. The entire variety of activities is named
Chamber Music Spectrum. The DONIZETTI String Quartet
is a celebrated ensemble performing classical literature as well as exciting
arrangements of popular usic.
Furthermore a small orchestra is available called Salonorchester
M.H. 7 to 19 musicians are performing without a conductor. The
repertoire stretches from classical concert music to opera, operette,
and musical.
Newly an original Hungarian Gipsy Band is also in the
spectrum. Clarinet, cymbalon, cello and bass are performing together with
the leading violinist Primas Balazs Nyari.
Moreover, Manfred Herbig is one of the rare performing baryton
players in the world. Soon you will find here moer and better information
about the unique characteristics of this fascinating period instrument,
which has more strings than a string quartet. - Or meet our friend Jeremy
Brooker at http://www.baryton.mailbox.co.uk.
Manfred Herbig
is a composer as well. He wrote several pieces mostly
in the domain of chamber music (two baryton trios - also a cantata for
tenor, baryton trio and harpsichord; four songs for mezzo soprano and
string trio) and plenty of adaptions of popular themes for mostly string
quartet or piano trio - feel free to request music!). Recently he completed
his first cello concerto in three movements (first performance Febr. 20,
2005).
We are also ready for long-term engagements
in the hotel domain or on a boat.

And
this amazing fellow
joins our company since 2000. The legend in automobile history is a CITROEN
2CV. The model was presented to the public in 1948. This specific one was born
in 1987 and is really in pretty good shape.
